The Best Things in Life Are Free!!!

So Today I went for my first Dermalogica Facial......Even better than going for a facial? It was FREE!!!! AHHHH...I entered a Facebook Competition for Ben Garry Hair & Beauty Salon in Navan.

There isn't enough words to describe how good this facial was. I had been experiencing some dry skin on my forehead, cheeks and jaws line lately, and the beauty therapist informed me that it was probably stress related from loosing my job :( and I need to drink more water!

It began with a questionnaire about my skin routine and other things and then the goodness began :)

Here is the treatment room.

All the lovely products

My Before Face (I'm not dead, just reeeeally relaxed!)

After the cleanse
Face Mask

The end result, which I am really happy about! Look at me I'm GLOWING!

It started with a cleanse and then a face map for my Prescriptive Facial. One of the products used, tingled on areas that needed attention, after that a cooling lotion was applied. I lost count of the amount of products used on my face, but my God did it feel good!
It also included a neck and shoulder massage and when the face mask was doing it thang, I got some reflexology on my feet. It was AMAZING!
As I said at the beginning I won this fab prize, but all of this is priced €75 for an hour. I was there for over an hour and got some cleansing and moisturiser samples. I WILL be going back in the future for another facial. It will be my special treat once in a while to myself. The beauty therapist was every helpful and informative (and gorgeous) and told me about all the other treatments she does. I cannot wait to go back to this salon. They also have great deals each week on their facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/profile.php?id=100000558466923

As I am working ALL weekend this is how I am celebrating St Patrick's Day, with lovely Konad Nails!!!
I have Gold(Urban decay, Half Baked) and Green(MAC) eyeshadow on. Its very subtle because I have work today. If I hadn't I'd be covered in green shamrocks and Glitter! (excuse the furry eyebrows! I'm growing them in the hope of getting HD Brows)
I hope everyone has a fantastic day! Drink and be merry!

Lynx Review...UPDATE

I recently bought Lynx Attract for her. Now I love the smell of nearly ALL the Male Lynx fragrants out there, so when I saw The female version I just HAD to have it!!!
Now the can itself is exactly the same shape as the male can but the colours are white and pink instead of the usual black. It is so similar that one of my male friends used my deodorant thinking it was for men! He smelled so pretty lol.
It was a lovely fresh watermeloney smell, but I found after freshly shaving my under arms that when applying the deodorant there was a slight sting. It was nothing too major, but I haven't got that stingy sensation from a female deodorant in a very long time. I would also LOVE if Lynx made a female version of their "Dry" deodorant.
UPDATE!!!
I would not recommend this. I have broken out in a rash and tiny spots all under my arm!!! This has never happened to me before! AND!!! It does not last all day, by 4pm I was smelling of B.O.....NOT very nice at all!!!!! very disappointed with this product!!

February 2012 Glossybox

This is the amazingly beautiful packaging that Glossbox box arrives in.

Such pretty packaging

So I decided to sign up for GlossyBox in February. I didn’t subscribe until half way through Feb so I didn’t receive it until the other day. I was SOOOOOO excited when it arrived, it felt like Christmas. I was on my way out so I had to wait until later to open it. When I finally opened it, I was so happy to see 5 products that I never used before. I signed up to Glossybox so I could learn about new products out there, as I was kind of confused about what to use, I usually stick to the same old boring products I’ve been using for years.
These are the products I received

Awapuhi by Paul Mitchell (Full size £25.95/100ml)
This is a wild ginger treatment oil. It is supposed to smooth and seal parched hair with natural oils and the hydrating Awapuhi extract. So I washed my hair this morning and applied a small amount to my damp hair, dried and straightened it. To my surprise my hair is so smooth and has a great shine from it. I will definitely buy this product in the future
Dr Bronner Lavender Hand Sanitizer (Full size £3.99/59ml)
A Lavender scented hand sanitizer in a handy spray size, "perfect to keep in your hand bag"
Although I disagree with the "perfect to keep in your hand bag" quote, as you can get much smaller sized hand sanitizers, I do LOVE the scent. And it is Organic

Becca Beach Tint Watermelon (Full Size £20.00/7ml)
This award-winning lip and cheek stain blends beautifully to a non-drying, water-resistant finish.
I haven't used it on my cheeks but it is very nice on my lips. It gives a your lips a "hint of something there" look without being to over powering and the watermelon sent is just Divine

Before
After
BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow, Her Majesty (Full size £7.00/2g)
Award winning pure mineral eye shadow. Cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
I'm not a huge fan of anything pink, but this has a nice shimmer to it and will test it out soon.
Como Shambhala Invigorate Shower Gel (Full size £20.00/300ml)
A revitalising blend of essential oils that outs you in a perfectly uplifting mood.
I found the eucalyptus and peppermint scent to my very over powering. I've tried it twice and each time I didn't like the smell. It did feel very silky against my skin but the smell just put me off. I think it would be more suitable for a man.

NAILS NAILS NAILS!!

At the minute I am obsessed with my nails. Especially when it comes to stamping them with Konad Nail Art. My obsession began in august 2011 when I went to The Ultimate Girls Day out in The RDS and found the Konad stand. My Mam had also bought a Konad kit in Las Vegas and gave it to me the night before the show. At the beginning I was kind of frustrated trying to get the stamp to work, especially when my Mam got it first try! Once I got the hang of it I was flying! Since then I have bought a lot of plates and loads of the Special Stamping colours. I have fallen deeply in love with these products and will never look back!
Sometimes I go a bit OTT and stamp each nail with a different design, but I also like the simple look.
On Sunday I went to The Irish Beauty show and found the Konad stand again and bough 6 new plates for €30 (Bargain!) and a Special Stamping polish for €6. Further fuelling my obsession with Konad!
Let the stamping begin!

My Konad Collection

Opi " Did you 'ear about Van Gogh?"

Konad Special Polish Red, Plate M71, Stamper and Scraper
Apply polish to plate
Scrape at 45 degree angle
Stamp ( all of this has to be done fast!)

Stamp onto nail
Finished product. Apply a top coat!

Simple! :)
How pretty is this design? It's like a lace effect!
